Lenny's began as an office and stockroom in the south of Vienna, until enough music people turned up that the owner pulled out the partition walls, put up shelves and opened a shop on 16 April 2020, two weeks late and wearing a face mask. He had spent over 30 years in the music industry (Libro, EMI Music, then his own MFG Entertainment) before deciding he would rather listen to the Pink Floyds and Pearl Jams than argue about forecasts and marketing budgets. The racks carry LPs, CDs, DVDs, caps and mugs, with a separate Rarities section, and he buys LPs and CDs whether the shop is open or not. The name comes from his eldest son, on the grounds that Thomas' Music Store sounded worse.
