Lion Music Den is a reggae-only record and CD shop in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, run by Takashi Okazaki from a ground-floor unit in Ikeshita. The racks are cut by era and style the way reggae collectors think: mento, calypso and Jamaican jazz, ska, rocksteady and skinhead reggae, early reggae 1969-1973, roots of the 70s and 80s, UK roots and nyahbinghi, lovers rock, digital dancehall, jugglin and one drop, dub and new roots, plus Japanese sound mix CDs. There is an online shop, but the pitch is blunt: come in, see the record, touch it, hear it, because the online store cannot give you that.
