Kyle opened Lost Weekend on 16 January 2003 on North High Street, closed the doors in mid-August 2004 to move thousands of records, and reopened on 1 September 2004 where it has stayed since. The stated mission is to continue the tradition and legacy of independent businesses and vinyl record stores in the Clintonville and Columbus communities, with a High Fidelity level of knowledge and none of the elitist attitude; die-hard collectors, DJs after samples, casual listeners and scenesters who just like to hang out all get the same welcome. They carry music by local and regional bands and books by local authors, and run regular events in the store with local artists playing. If they do not have it and cannot find it, they will point you at the shop that does. Open seven days.
