Mars Tapes trades from Afflecks in Manchester and does one thing: the compact cassette. New releases on tape, blank cassettes, duplication and mastering for bands wanting to press their own, plus Walkmen, tape players and recorders, headphones and starter bundles for anyone coming to the format from scratch. A single-format shop is rare enough; one built on the format everybody else wrote off is rarer.
