When Bagatelle closed on Steve Mintz's death in late 2025, his friend Mike Vague - a DJ and collector of some fifty-seven years' standing - took the shop on and reopened it in April 2026. It is legally a new business with a new name, but the Bagatelle signage is still up, Gary Page is still behind the counter after five decades, and Vague has been explicit about the pricing: "I'm not going to gauge if someone is asking $30 for a record. I'll probably have it for $18." Same room, same stock, same idea
