Mills has been trading on Adelaide Street in Fremantle since 1945 - one of the oldest music retailers in the country, opposite the Town Hall. It sells mostly new vinyl and CDs now, with stylus imports, DVDs and concert tickets, and it survived a 2016 redevelopment scare over its building. Listed with its 1945 origin because the sources are consistent on that date and it is genuinely a record shop; what exactly it sold in its very first years is not documented, so the claim is 'trading since 1945', not 'selling records since 1945'
