Minstrel Music is an independent vinyl specialist in Zwolle with a big, varied stock of new and second-hand records: LPs, singles, rarities and collectors items, with CDs, DVDs and magazines well represented too. The genre spread runs soul and funk, jazz, blues, psychedelic and progressive rock, folk, beat, hip hop, garage, punk and new wave. It started in 1993 buying and selling LPs and CDs at record fairs and markets, then took the Assendorperstraat premises three years later. Since then it has added its own label in 2007, concerts from 2009 and a small music festival of its own from 2013. Arjan owns it, with Bert, Jolanda and Sander alongside, and stylus needles, gadgets and playback gear squeezed in wherever the room allows.
