Mint Record runs two Osaka shops, the main store on the second floor of the Kokusai Building at Namba Sennichimae and Mint Record 2 down in Nipponbashi, buying and selling used records, CDs and DVDs with a stated aim of keeping mint-condition stock on the shelves. It is an all-genre floor: J-pop and rock, R&B, classical, jazz and fusion, western rock and black music, soundtracks, enka, Asian, kayokyoku, idol and compilations. The second shop goes further, carrying laser discs and cassettes you will not find elsewhere. Both are closed Thursdays and the third Wednesday, there is a freephone buying line and house calls, and the tidy main floor gets a lot of overseas visitors.
