Mojo Books and Records opened its doors in April 2007 on E. Fowler Avenue and has grown into a local staple, serving students, educators, record collectors, avid readers, musicians, artists and the casually curious. It bills itself as Tampa Bay's largest independent book and record store, stocking nearly every genre across records, books, CDs, DVDs and turntables, and it is one of the few local coffee bars specialising in manual brewing and handcrafted flavours. They sell and trade, run events, and it is a Record Store Day pledged store as well as a member of the American Booksellers Association and the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance.
