Else Schubert opened Musik-Schubert in Freital in 1951, carrying on from the family's Dresden shop; her niece Renate took it over in 1965 and it passed to Steffen Schubert in 1991. The range covers guitars and basses, keyboards, Orff instruments, strings and wind, drums and percussion, PA and sound reinforcement, sheet music and recordings. A second branch opened in Dresden at the end of 2004.
