Old City Market and Oven is a neighbourhood market at 522 K St NE in Washington DC, on the corner of 6th and K, built around a wood-fired brick oven the owners laid themselves. Upstairs it is hand crafted pizzas, a big hand-selected wine list from around the world, local craft beer, gourmet foods, house made breads and sweets, roasted meats and vegetables. Downstairs it is a used vinyl record shop. The shop's own creation myth ends where you would hope: pizza, wine, art and records, paired the way people have paired them ever since somebody worked out how to capture music on a phonograph record. Store hours run from 8am most days with the kitchen opening at 4pm.
