Pagal is down a short flight of stairs off the lanes of Hauz Khas Village, a basement lined with records and old posters, and it was built on nothing more organised than one person's taste. Joginder - Joe, half-Indian and half-Italian - ran it to push the format in a country that had largely stopped pressing it, and handed it on to Abhay in December 2024 rather than let it close. Old-school Bollywood soundtracks next to blues, Afrobeat, hip-hop, jazz and electronic records, plus cassettes, players, posters, books and a certain amount of vintage junk.
