Penny Lane is Christchurch's longest established independent record store, trading new and pre-owned records, CDs and DVDs. Dave Howard started the business in 1998 and has built one of the largest collections of new and top quality pre-owned CDs, DVDs, vinyl and collectables in the South Island, on a reputation for paying top prices and going the extra mile for rare and sought-after items. The Sydenham store covers virtually all genres, new chart and back catalogue arrive daily through the big distributors, and the team travels all over New Zealand buying collections. Every pre-owned item is examined and graded, and in some cases cleaned, recased or resleeved. There is a mail order service and a quality guarantee.
