The Philadelphia Record Exchange opened in 1985, founded by Jacy Webster and Greg Harris - the latter now chief executive of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. It spent twenty-seven years at Fifth and South before rising rent pushed it to Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, which turned out to be the making of it. Used records across classic and hard rock, jazz, soundtracks and everything else, in the plain unfussy way a shop gets when it has been doing this for four decades
