Planet Rock Records has been selling vinyl LPs, 12-inch, 7-inch and CDs since 1993, run by a DJ who has played professionally since 1987 and describes the job as acquiring and spreading musical knowledge rather than shifting stock. The Manchester shop is round the back of an artist-led original Victorian mill on Pollard Street East. Buying, swapping and selling all happen at the same counter, and a label, distribution and export arm run alongside.
