P.M. Sounds is a Black-owned shop a few doors along 6th Street from JDC, and the two of them are why San Pedro is worth the drive. Jazz, funk, R&B and rock, used vinyl alongside CDs and cassettes, all of it organised and priced without ceremony. The room is hardwood floors, framed photographs and posters and vintage stereo gear, and the digging is in jazz imports, private pressings and rare grooves. Open Tuesday to Saturday, midday until six
