Pure Vinyl is on Ferndale Road in Brixton, run by Claudia Wilson, who buys soul and reggae before anything else and fills in around it with jazz, world, rock and roll and hip-hop. It is deliberately an approachable room rather than a specialist's fortress - there are jams and open-deck sessions in the shop, and a decent slice of the stock is online.
