Rainbow Records is Tim Henry's second act. He opened the first Rainbow Records in 1986 in Monmouth, Oregon, renamed it Music Brokers through the 1990s as records gave way to tapes and CDs, and closed the doors in 2006 when digital music took the interest out of physical media altogether. Fifteen years later, with vinyl a national obsession again, he reopened on 2nd Avenue in Albany. It buys, sells and trades new and used vinyl including 180 gram remastered reissues, plus CDs and tapes, and keeps tee shirts, posters, incense, tapestries and handmade scarves alongside. His own description: an old fashioned full service record shop.
