Record Corner has been trading since 1958 and has never left the building it opened in, which makes it one of the oldest independent record shops in the country and the oldest in Surrey. Its focus moved with the decades rather than staying still: pop in the sixties, when it still had listening booths, rock through the seventies, largely classical across the eighties and nineties, and new and second-hand records in more niche territory now, alongside rarities, limited editions, CDs and memorabilia
