Record Palace opened on Weteringschans in 1988, directly across the road from the Paradiso, which means the artists playing there tend to wander in before the show - a piece of luck no shop could arrange for itself. Several floors of second-hand vinyl, collectables and signed or unusual pressings across rock, pop, soul, blues and reggae, with sizeable Japanese and Indian import sections.
