Alex Rodriguez has been selling records since he was fifteen and doing it at punk shows: online from 1998, at conventions from 2004, through a vintage-and-vinyl shop called Gigantic from 2004 to 2009, with a stint at Tower in New York, Orange County and on Sunset in between. Record Safari is the shop that came out of all that, new and used, priced to move, and it buys collections. The building on Los Feliz Boulevard was Sonora Recorders, where Ben Harper, Rufus Wainwright, Joe Henry, Keb' Mo' and Emmylou Harris all cut records
