Record Stop has been family owned and operated since 1974, when it began as a small chain of record stores on Long Island. After four decades of introducing Long Islanders to rarefied music it opened a second life on King Street in downtown Charleston, selling new and used vinyl, CDs, cassettes, turntables, speakers and accessories at close to wholesale prices. The Long Island shops and a vinyl record pressing arm still run alongside it.
