Record Town opened for business on February 1, 1957 in Fort Worth and has been dealing vintage vinyl ever since, a cultural landmark rooted deep in the city's music heritage. It carries CDs, 45s and cassettes, but the focus is vinyl records, filed by rock, country, blues, soul, jazz, rap and hip hop and classical, or as the shop puts it, jazz to rap and tons in between. Now on St. Louis Avenue, open noon to eight every day of the week, with its own record grading guide, warehouse-direct special orders, house merch, and a buying desk that wants your records.
