Laurent Lemoine opened Revolution Records in 2001 on Lower Main Road, in the middle of Observatory, which is the part of Cape Town that has always carried the city's second-hand record trade. New and previously loved vinyl, plus CDs, tapes and DVDs, and a bench for fixing the record player when it stops working - a combination that says more about how a shop survives twenty-odd years in a small market than any amount of stock does.
