Rooster Records first opened its doors in early December 1995 in Taunton, Somerset, built a loyal following there, and moved to larger premises at 98 Fore Street in Exeter as its stock outgrew the shop. It deals in quality new and used vinyl LPs, 12 and 7-inch, CDs and DVDs across psychedelic, progressive, jazz, folk, blues, roots, soul, funk, sixties and seventies, indie, punk, new wave, rock, pop, metal, country, reggae, dance and soundtracks, and it buys whole LP collections.
