Satellite Records began in 2008 as Corner Record Shop Kalamazoo on West Main Hill near Kalamazoo College, changed its name to Satellite Records in 2014 and moved to 808 South Westnedge Avenue in the Vine Business District, then launched an online store in early 2021. It calls itself Michigan's record store for crate diggers and stocks new and used vinyl, CDs, cassettes and official Record Store Day items, with a large selection of jazz, soul, rock, pop, folk and classical, plus hip-hop and country online. A top rated platinum seller on Discogs, it pays cash for collections and runs a loyalty programme.
