Sawt al-Qahira, better known abroad as Sono Cairo, is the national audio and video company and describes itself as the oldest audio-visual production house in the Arab world. Its catalogue is organised by drama serials, Quran recitation, stage plays, religious and romantic song and general variety, and it has been through the courts over its rights to that archive, Umm Kulthum's recordings included. It takes a stand at the Cairo International Book Fair.
