September Records is a small record shop that opened in Takasaki, Gunma in September 2016, run by Takeshi Yamazaki. It keeps an all-genre selection of new records and CDs, stock brought in from abroad and used records bought over the counter, and it buys records, CDs, cassettes, books and audio gear in the shop, one item at a time and never sight-unseen online, so do not turn up in a hurry. It is out of town: a 27 minute bus ride from the west exit of Takasaki station to Shinyashiki, or by car to the first set of lights a kilometre north of the Ikuhara crossroads, with three parking spaces across the road. Hours have been cut back to 13:00 until 18:00, so check the shop's socials before you travel.
