Shame Records has been in Nishi-Shinjuku since the 1980s, run throughout by Mr Hirano. It is a second-hand shop with soul at the centre of it, spreading out into funk, disco and hip-hop, and the stock reaches back to fifties pressings. Fourth floor of the Dai-Ichi Dental building, which is the sort of address Tokyo record shops keep. No exact founding year is published, so none is claimed here
