Snickars Records is a physical record shop and music event venue in the centre of Stockholm, started in 1995 by DJ Mika Snickars and selling online since 2005. It buys, trades and sells second-hand vinyl in 12-inch, 7-inch and LP, plus new records from local Scandinavian and selected labels, with the main focus on black and dance music: soul, funk, disco, hip hop, techno, house, jazz, pop, rock, world and reggae. New arrivals go out daily, the bargain bins are shop-only, and there are usually live gigs in the shop on Saturdays between 2 and 5pm along with instore record releases and special collection sales. The shop shares an entrance with Gallery Konstart on Hokens gata 11, open Wednesday to Friday 12pm to 7pm and Saturday 12pm to 5pm, and ships worldwide.
