Somewhere in Detroit is the shop inside Submerge, the distribution company and headquarters of Underground Resistance - Mad Mike Banks's collective, and the label complex that also carries Transmat, Red Planet and Distorted Soul. His sister Bridgette Banks started the shop. The building on East Grand Boulevard holds the archives of Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, the Belleville Three who invented techno, and Exhibit 3000, the Detroit techno museum, which is the only one there is. Records at the front, the history of the genre in the back
