SORC works the second floor of Kakuozan Plaza in Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, dealing in used records from 60s and 70s rock, psychedelia, progressive, folk and singer-songwriters. Keiji and Obata split the counter across the week, Wednesday and Thursday are the shop-floor days off, and a second room, SORC annex in Kodenmacho, Tokyo, opens on no fixed schedule and hosts exhibitions. Since the shop-floor refit of February 2024 the shop has put out a monthly free paper, written by customers who each review six records on a theme of their own choosing.
