The Isle of Man had no record shop at all for close to twenty years. Sound Records fixed that: the owners started with pop-ups and market stalls, built up a following, and opened properly on Record Store Day 2018 in the basement of one of the oldest buildings in Douglas. New and second-hand vinyl across everything, plus record players, guitar gear and a rail of vintage clothing, and it is still the only record shop on the island.
