Stranded took over 218 East 5th Street on 1 April 2019, a week after Good Records closed there following fourteen years, and inherited the space and the stock. It is the New York outpost of the San Francisco shop and the retail arm of Superior Viaduct, the reissue label that started in 2011 on San Francisco punk and has since worked through jazz, reggae, experimental and twentieth-century classical, plus contemporary records on its W.25th sub-label. The shop is in the basement of a pink-painted brick building and the racks follow the label's taste closely.
