One of the most historic Naples shops for records, CDs, cassettes and DVDs, in the heart of the music since 1957 and now run by the third generation of the family. The journey started at the end of the sixties when founder Antonio opened the doors of Discoteca Meridionale, and the shop has lived through every format shift since, from 78s of glass or wax-coated metal through reel to reel tape, cassette and Stereo8 to CD, and from VHS to DVD and Blu-ray. For about thirty years it also supplied record shops across the centre and south of Italy wholesale, and in the early nineties it built a chain of shops across the country under the SUDIGIRI name. The assortment stays deliberately eclectic, from classical to rock, metal to blues, funk to folk, Italian pop to underground, hip hop to crossover and jazz to urban pop, with a rarities department and shelves that reward a proper browse.
