Supreme Echo is a record shop and a reissue label in the same room on Government Street, and the label is the interesting half: it digs out Canadian punk, garage and psych that never got past a local pressing and puts it back into print, often with the tapes and the story attached. A shop that reissues its own region's lost records is doing something a distributor cannot, and Vancouver Island is exactly the kind of place whose music quietly disappears without it.
