Sweat Records opened in 2005 in Miami's Little Haiti to serve the city's huge audience of music lovers, and it has become the reference independent record shop and event space in town. Its racks are sorted with an eye to where Miami actually listens, global sounds from Africa and the Middle East, Asia, and the Caribbean and Latin America given their own sections alongside jazz, and it adds new stock several times a week. Live events run out of the same room.
