Sweet Nuthin' Records is a used record specialist in Kumamoto, and the shop describes itself with admirable honesty: a shopkeeper who does not understand new music at all, selling backward-looking rock from the 60s through the 90s. Rock LPs, EP singles and CDs are filed alphabetically, and so are punk and new wave and indie pop. Beyond that sit pops, Japanese rock and pops, blues, R&B, soul and hip-hop, house and breakbeats, reggae and ska, jazz, Brazil and Latin, classical, soundtracks and a strange and world corner, plus cassette tapes, T-shirts, books, posters and video. Sub-sections are given over to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, 60s garage and psych and Group Sounds.
