Sweet Vinyl is a record store, coffee bar and gift shop in downtown Denville, billed as Northern New Jersey's first record store and dessert shop. The record shop at the back carries new albums from up-and-coming artists, clean used copies of classics, hard-to-find 45s, a deep CD collection, posters, music biographies and vintage music magazines; the cafe at the front does coffee, tea, cold drinks and locally made sweets, with a window counter and space for a local singer-songwriter. It was founded by longtime music journalist Adam Budofsky, for thirty-plus years the editorial director of Modern Drummer, who had always dreamed of running a record shop and performance space.
