Paul 'Monk' Muncaster started The Rad Zone in 1984 as Radical Records at the top of Bruce Street Hill, driving to Vancouver and Toronto to bring back punk and metal albums nobody else in the Sault stocked, and selling the town its first skateboards. After Bruce, Queen and Dennis Streets and 18 years in the Wellington Square Mall, it is back downtown on Queen Street East, now housing Hole In The Wall Books, a used bookshop of thousands of titles. Still independent, still small-staffed, still tens of thousands of finds across vinyl, skate gear and new and used video games.
