The Sound Machine in Harris Arcade is Reading's longest-established independent collectors' record shop, a minute from the station and half an hour from London Paddington, specialising in a wide range of new and second-hand vinyl and CDs. It is as much a buyer as a seller, which is how a collectors' shop keeps the rare stock coming, and its central-Reading spot has made it a fixture for decades.
