Jon opened The Vinyl Whistle on Otley Road in Headingley in 2019, after a lifetime of collecting rather than a career in retail, and it shows in the stock: quality used and new vinyl chosen one record at a time, heavy on indie from the eighties, nineties and two-thousands. There is coffee and cake as well, which makes it the sit-down half of a Leeds dig - the counter is a place to stay rather than a place to pay.
