When Groucho's closed on the Nethergate in September 2020 after forty-four years, some of its staff opened Thirteen Records on Union Street rather than let the trade leave Dundee altogether. That lineage is the whole point of the shop: the people are the same, the knowledge is the same, and the city kept a counter it had every reason to lose. Second-hand and new across the board, in the middle of town.
