TICRO MARKET opened in 1991 on Daimyo in Fukuoka, sharing a room with the TICRO HAIR salon and selling vintage clothing, and turned into a used record shop buying stock overseas in 1994. The current management took over and fully renewed it in 1998, the online store opened in 2000, the shop moved to its present address in 2002, an outlet store called DIGRO MARKET ran from 2008 until 2018, and bar petrol blue opened in 2009. Buying trips to the United States, Germany, Australia, Korea, Indonesia and Thailand feed the racks with jazz, soul and rock originals plus hip-hop and club 12-inch, all picked from a DJ's point of view under the heading of good music. Stock runs past fifteen thousand items with more than 30 new arrivals a day going up in the shop and on the site at the same time, and Japanese pressings, city pop and obi copies have become a focus. They buy over the counter or by post, and ship worldwide.
