Hãng Đĩa Thời Đại - Times Records - is a shop in Tân Định and a working record label, which in Vietnam matters more than it would elsewhere: it presses and distributes Vietnamese artists on CD, vinyl and cassette in a market where getting a physical release out at all is the hard part, and it manages artists and puts on shows besides. The racks are second-hand vinyl, CDs and tapes, Vietnamese and Western in roughly equal measure, and the staff know both halves.
