To Diskadiko opened in 1997 in Ambelokipi, started by Iosif Angelidis, and now trades from Agias Eleousis 5 in Psyrri, Athens. The genre tree is enormous: rock in every sub-flavour from krautrock to stoner, jazz from hard bop to soul-jazz, metal, rap and hip hop, plus blues, classical, disco, electronic, folk, world, funk and soul, latin, pop, reggae and dub, soundtracks and a deep Greek section with entekhno and rebetiko. Turntables, accessories, CDs, books and gifts round it out, and shipping is free over 90 euro.
