Topdisc opened in February 1989 and settled into its permanent spot on the Markt in Torhout in November of the same year, which makes it one of the longest-running record shops in West Flanders. It keeps 15,000 CD titles in stock plus a wide new and second-hand vinyl collection, music DVDs and Blu-rays, everything at net prices, across rock, funk, disco, blues, film music, chanson, hip-hop, soul, world, jazz, kleinkunst, pop, dance, folk-rock, punk, singer-songwriter, country, metal, classical, reggae and more.
