TreaJah Isle has been on Eglinton West for over twenty years, in the stretch of Toronto known as Little Jamaica, dealing in dancehall, reggae sevens and lovers rock. It was run for years by Nana McLean. The basement is the part people talk about: unsorted vinyl piled among the remains of a recording studio where Bob Marley's granddaughter once recorded, which is not a stockroom so much as an archive nobody has catalogued. A community hub that happens to sell records, in a neighbourhood that has been losing its music businesses steadily.
