The Turning Point has been on Cooper Street in Centretown since 1983, dealing in used vinyl, CDs and films - the oldest record shop still trading in Ottawa by a decade and a half. It is the plain kind of second-hand shop that a city needs and rarely keeps: no cafe, no bar, no programme of events, just four decades of stock passing across a counter in a capital city that until recently had no record shops in this directory at all.
