UMY has been in Kaarst since 2021 and calls itself the slightly different record shop: a small, choosy selection of used vinyl, plus vinyl bowls and etageres, open Saturdays from 11 to 13 and otherwise by arrangement. A recent intake of around 1,000 LPs is heavy on rock and hard rock, metal, death, thrash and speed metal, blues and prog, first-hand, some still sealed, in excellent condition. Since May 2023 it has also distributed new releases for German label MIG - Made in Germany Music, weighted to Rockpalast editions, jazz, krautrock, blues and rock.
